Levied feudal cavalry. It included vassals with or without their retainers. The number of retainers – jebelu – depended on the wealth of the fiefdom. Their armament was diverse. Apart from various elements of armor they often used shields. They were usually equipped with tucks, sabers and maces. Some of the Sipahi used spears that improved the effectiveness of their daring charges. This brave and well trained formation mounted on fine horses still had all the disadvantages of every feudal levy. The violent charges were often poorly coordinated and often ended with heavy losses and a hasty retreat.
Figure is supplied unpainted and require little assembly.
Set includes 9 mounted models.
